Temptation of Fall was supposed to have a green ribbon snaking through,  but I had no green ribbon, and didn't want to go all the way into town just for that.  Then I remembered there's an actual fig tree in the yard-  with real figs, even-  and so I went and plucked a smallish leaf.  (Fig leaves, at least from this tree, are large enough to cover a multitude of sins....)

Cherry Shoematoes utilized the last of my container-grown miniature tomatoes-  so wonderfully sweet! so I could play with the name of the piece.  I ate them as I painted-  and knew I would-  so I painted them first.

I'm quite pleased with Lily Was Here;  it makes me think.

I have a new Mardi Gras Shoes going featuring half-masques and beads and a religious icon-  seems the shoe series is getting more conceptual as it goes along.  I'm also working on one with paper dollies-  that is still in the very early 'idea' stage, so don't expect much soon.  I've also plans to do one featuring a bench vise and level-  women who've worn these kinds of shoes will understand exactly what the concept is....
