These pieces represent my earliest works in soft pastel, completed between 2002-2003.
The Light Fantastic was donated to the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce for display and their auction. Its new owners bid exuberantly, and have given it a fine home.
Coffee and Orchids was requested by Jack Richeson and Co Artists Supplies to represent Yarka-brand pastels.
For My Mother is just that: A piece done of the platter she would allow me to get down out of the "good china cupboard" when I was a child and childishly clumsy, to practice drawing. All of the practice seems to have paid off: I nailed that pattern first go. This piece resides in her home in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
